Picture a long, bendable rope of balloon clusters that can follow nearly any line in a room.
A balloon garland is a run of balloon clusters built on a flexible strip, so it bends wherever you need it to. It can climb a door frame, swag along a mantel, trail down a banister, wrap the front of a cake table or curve around a backdrop. What does organic balloon garland mean?
Organic means mixed sizes: little 5-inch fillers, standard 11-inch balloons and big 16- to 24-inch statement balloons grouped in uneven clusters, so the garland looks natural and full instead of patterned. You get texture and movement, and the result reads like a designed piece rather than something off the party-store shelf.
Organic vs. regular balloon garland: what's the difference?
A regular, or classic, garland repeats one cluster of same-size balloons over and over, like a neat rope or a spiral. It's symmetrical and uses fewer balloons. An organic garland is looser and fuller and takes more balloons per foot. Classic suits school colors, team colors and polished corporate looks; organic suits showers, weddings, birthdays and anything you plan to photograph.

Balloon garlands with flowers and greenery
Silk or fresh flowers, eucalyptus, ferns, pampas and greenery woven between the clusters push a garland toward a floral installation. It's a favorite for bridal showers, bautizos, garden parties and Mother's Day brunches.
Pearl, chrome and metallic garlands
Pearl balloons have a soft, satin glow, while chrome balloons are mirror-bright in gold, silver, rose gold and champagne. A few in each cluster make the whole garland look more expensive, and all-chrome garlands are a favorite for New Year's Eve and 50th anniversaries.
Mini and small balloon garlands
A mini garland is built mostly from 5-inch balloons, so it stays delicate. Use one along a cake table, around a first-birthday high chair, over a mirror or on a small apartment wall.

What's a grab-and-go balloon garland? It's a ready-made garland, usually 5 to 8 feet long, that you pick up and hang yourself, which makes it the budget-friendly choice for smaller spaces. Anything much past 8 feet doesn't ride well in a car (and a parked car in July is rough on latex), so longer garlands are installed.

How long will balloon garlands last? In an air-conditioned room, an air-filled organic garland holds its shape for several days and often a week before it begins to soften. Outdoors in shade it lasts about a day. In direct summer sun in San Antonio, give it a few hours before the latex clouds over, fades and starts to pop.
How far ahead can a balloon garland be made? For indoor parties, a garland can be built a day or two early with no visible change, and most hosts book a morning-of or night-before install. Outdoor summer garlands go up the same day, as close to start time as we can manage.

Will hanging a balloon garland damage my walls?
It shouldn't. We hang garlands on freestanding frames, tension rods, removable hooks or fixtures that are already there, never tape that can lift paint. Hotels and event halls usually ban tape anyway, so frames are standard at venues.
Are balloon garlands still in style?
Yes. Organic garlands with mixed sizes, florals and a little chrome are the current look for showers, weddings, birthdays and holidays. The shift lately has been toward softer, earthier palettes and more texture.
What are some alternatives to a balloon garland?
